We contacted Dean as we needed some help with our Golden Retriever Maggie in that we were having trouble settling her at work and in restaurants, with her constantly barking and demanding attention. Going out with her wasn’t the amazing experience it should be but all that changed with Dean and place training. We can now go out anywhere with Maggie and actually enjoy the experience and Maggie is well behaved and enjoys the time too. We also did some work with lead training and walks as Maggie had a tendency to pull ahead. With both situations Dean listened to what we needed and then offered advice, we then started implementing the training with Dean watching and advising and praising.
Maggie is our second dog but training has changed so much in that time, also you get settled in your ways and maybe loose a bit of confidence when it comes time to train a new puppy. What makes Dean so good is that the solution is always so simple it’s staring you in the face but he’s also training you to be a better dog owner and giving you the confidence that you can do it and that with hard work you can sort the issue. I would recommend Dean to anyone that has any issue. Thank you Dean we can’t thank you enough.

Erik, our golden retriever, did not walk well on the lead, was overreactive to other dogs and barked continuously. As a consequence of his behaviour when I walked him I had little confidence in controlling him and would become very anxious if we saw another dog. I avoided the park and his walks were quite boring for us both.
We contacted Dean and asked if he could help us. Dean has been amazing. He has worked with us and shown us how to interact with Erik correctly and given us the necessary advice on how to deal with situations I would have avoided previously, for example, seeing another dog. His explanations about dog behaviour and why we need to put certain practices in place has been invaluable.
Erik's barking is lessening but the major difference is in myself and the confidence I now have in walking and controlling him. He has pulling has all but stopped and he has learnt so much ; our walks are now full of fun and stimulation.
I can't wait to start our next sessions on recall and have every faith that we will achieve the same fantastic results
we have done so far.
If you need any dog related help, advice or training, I would highly recommend Dean. He is a man who knows his stuff!

Dean has been brilliant in helping us to understand our dog and what we need to do to iron out a few behaviours which were impacting on family life.He is extremely knowledgable and his methods are simple, safe and effective. He also has excellent lines of communication and is always available to answer any questions or concerns. Highly recommended.

Dean has been a great person to have as my mentor with my sprocker.
he is naturally approachable, relatable and has built mine and ghosts confidence up 100%.
I now can walk with him off lead which was my goal. And yet to plan further!
Truly amazing experience. 10/10

Have a german shepherd that used to be really reactive to other dogs. Booked a programme with Dean and can now walk with confidence in any setting. Lovely guy too. Professional and reliable. Highly recommend.

Since starting Deans puppy classes with our Whippet pup both ourselves and Snuff have grown in confidence. Dean has a no fuss approach which is easy to follow and his passion and knowledge is obvious from the start. We highly recommend him.

We booked our whippet puppy on to Deans Canine Cadets 8 week course. Best course we’ve ever come across. The progress was insane over the 8 weeks, our pup loved being with the other 4 dogs every Sunday and it really felt like a little fam for 8 weeks! Dean sets the classes in different environments every week, using the kind of environments that you would be in day to day in your normal life. (Outdoors-cafes, parks etc) This is so incredibly beneficial because these are the type of situations that prove very difficult to train a puppy to be comfortable in. He’s extremely attentive and always replies to queries and questions you have a long the way by txt too. Also the loveliest of blokes which helps :) highly recommend!!!

I attended Deans Canine cadets with our Miniature schnauzer Ralph. During the sessions Dean helped us to work on social situations, impulse control and lead walking. This has massively helped and walking had become fun rather than stressful. Dean was always calm, patient and was also at hand to answer all of our questions, giving extra advice and support. Such a lovely class to attend.

Just finished my first block of sessions with Dean and immediately booked another block. I can see a huge improvement in my dog and her walking, toilet training and overall engagement. Really pleased and can't wait to see what the next sessions bring.

We cannot recommend Dean enough! Four months ago, we reached out to him for help with our beagle, Milo. We were struggling with several issues, including walking on the lead, Milo’s over-excitement when guests visited, and his inability to settle down. He would constantly jump, bite, and demand playtime, making it hard to manage him.
Thanks to Dean’s expertise, patience, and tailored approach, Milo’s behaviour has improved. Walks are now a pleasure, and he’s much calmer when people come over. Dean taught us practical techniques that worked wonders and gave us the confidence to handle Milo’s energy in a positive way.
We are so grateful for Dean’s guidance and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and compassionate dog trainer. Thank you, Dean, for making such a positive difference in our lives and Milo’s!
